Go for the Indian crank mate. Its better metal. Some bloke did the chemical test of both an indian and an italian, happened to be that the indian cranks have a better metal quality. Every day I agree more and more with donlambretto and his indian theories.
Have an Indian crank, split it, take it to a good machine shop, replace the bearing, make it true and you will have a perfect crank for your purposes I think.
I have the AF racecrank. I tell you what. You can have it if you want to have a go. I don't want that 100m near my engine any more

Ive twisted two ,the famous ''never heard that before'' quote was the reply. returned the crank and the replacement from A/F had an indian crank web added with the new rod . lasted ages so the lads at A/F do know the faults. overall cheaper to buy past A/F cranks as Chbby Checker sang ''lets twist again''

An RB20 crank at that, which is 58 x 116. Sounds like only BSSO78 has actually used one (Little Ern's motor). A normal AF race crank is different. I've read of one RB20 kit failure but not an RB20 crank failure.

OK Martin, i think the same, that here are confusion between the AF race crank and the RB20 crank.

So is the AF High-Performance crank (RB) any good?
I've used Indian webs with new rod and bearings in the past without issue, but for my next project I want 60mm stroke, so Indian webs are not an option.
