No eden just fitted and nipped up but still the same rocking..Ive a feeling that whilst under load its not running true (because of the rock) and pulling to one side or the other when the chains under tension and somehow effecting the final release of the clutch plates.

yes eden can be rocked and even lifted slightly and spider stays the same, It was an indian one out of my old 150 engine which has no where near as much play in its own engine as it did in the 200..not enough teeth to run in it.. I think theres an under lying problem that only a full strip and check can solve.. ..I really cant be arsed honest..I will ring dealer in morning see what they say..

I have a similar problem, slipping under load after ½hr or so of hooning about.
the plates have only done 1000 miles. will fit some new plates & springs, and check the crownwheel and clutch operation really carefully. i was rushing a bit when i fitted them to get back on the road after a frustrating rear bearing change.

You can lend my petrol can and lighter when Ive finished..

You where right Eden.I just had to . Its been winding me up since last night so closed the factory early today(not because of my scoot just quiet this week)got home and stripped it AGAIN..on close inspection the kickstart shaft wasnt as ground off as the old one I had in my hand so ground off about 1- 1.5m off and then changed the small brass piston that fits inside the clutch arm for an old slightly worn one put together went out and kicked its head in and ......and........ .....and.......and........and...........NO SLIP........ :shocking: ...... :bouncyeng: :biggrin:

This must be catching I've got a five plate cam lam setup and twice now I've changed the plates and twice it's slipping like a tap dancer on ice.
I've ground down the kick start shaft and it's still slipping but only at above half throttle but it's steadily getting worse.
I'm thinking about giving up with the five plate will a standard clutch be ok with 14hp output?

ive never ever run more than 4 plates and that includes racing gp6 and 4 in the 80,s my 240,s both had 4 plates with vespa spings fitted around the standard ones
the race scoots steels had thin lines cut into them on both sides to help the oil escape
my current TS1 has done about 1200 miles but the clutch and sprockets were from my old rapido 200 which did about 3000 miles i use a lightened scootrs 4 plate 46t rear and the rest is innocenti li 150 inc the gearbox , the clutch center has had the nipple cut of to fit the GP side case but the bit underneath still goes into the gear cluster which i recone is by far the best way i use 10 spings and a yamaha lever with these plates that cost me £4 a set i bough 3 sets a few years ago thinking they wouldnt last long but they have , i never ride 2 up and weigh 12.5 st , i also check every component for clearance and fit and run a 2.5 mm top plate wich gives me plent of clearance and seperation
