If your scooter is well built and serviced, breakdowns will rarely happen. I carry all of the bits mentioned by the others along with spare exhaust studs, washers, nuts n bolts, jb weld, instant gasket, length of electical wire, ht lead, clutch...loads of other little things. I've my spares separated into small tins and 3 plastic lunchboxes. They don't take up much space. For me it's about peace of mind and having spares helps me relax. I hope you attend a few rally's. I wouldn't let thoughts of breakdowns get in the way.

Toddy is speakin the truth! After seeing the above post it got me thinking why I bring them. It's a space thing really. A spare T5 barrel fits easier in a px toolbox with the studs removed and it's the same with a lambretta barrel in a lammer toolbox. My running barrels have the studs loctited in. Both barrels carry pistons and small ends within along with anything else that'll fit into the barrel like seals and insulating tape. Funny thing is in 25 years+ of scootering I've only used a spare barrel once! It was on the m25 when the t5 cooked itself but considering the m25 is 350+miles from home I was a happy camper rejoining that motorway!

I've been pondering which spares to take for this trip I'm doing later in the year.
