I've been told that mineral oil doesn't give as much protection as semi or fully synthetic oil and is better for running in because it allows the rings and imperfections in the cylinder to be taken out quicker,dont know if its true or not but this is what I've been led to believe.

Yes, that is what I have been led to believe.

You don't need to run in a nicosil cylinder like a cast/lined.

Just use the recommendation from AF for the TS1 - which is on their website, and use the same oil from the start (semi or fully synthetic, which is your personal choice - another debate??)
