What a shame, the Mahle 2 ring is extremely good VFM. Let's hope that they get more in, rather than push the twice the cost Wossners. Don't get me wrong, the Wossners are excellent pistons, probably much better than many motors require, but the Mahle thin ring pistons offer a really good option at a perfectly reasonable price. Indeed, when horsing around Europe I like to carry a spare piston as one dodgy tank of fuel or a sudden air leak can easily leave you with a holed piston and that's when you need a 'get out of jail' spare with you. When pistons are £100 each, it starts to be somewhat pricey to carry a spare.
