I've been put off using af due to all the comments about them not answering the phone.
However last week I wanted one of their extended engine mounts so had no choice but to call them. I called, they answered, gave me a bit of advice regarding packers etc (including advising to use another dealer!). The parts were with me the following day.
How much business have they lost due to these (possibly) unfair remarks?

YES agreed , similar experiences so no problems with AFR....and they are No. 1 in the UK i'd say for there track record etc........I have also used them since the 80s and great advice on the phone, as you say Ben et al will run through your requirements in ordering stuff and it's nice to talk to someone and be assured .....

AF are probably the most recognized and renowned UK scooter dealer out there and renowned for design of the TS and RB kits and Rapido etc etc......
Incidentally I just called them and got through...

I use af.
very very helpfull.
great to go in and they give good advice on their products.
scott and ben are very good.
the phone doesnt always get answered because they are often dealing with customers and discussing in detail what the customer wants. When you walk out you may have spent a small fortune but you tend to feel happy and that you have been helped and advised.
i went to a dealer near doncaster.... produces a lot of stainless products and does tuning work......feck me most miserable unhelpfull c unit i have ever dealt with. Made me feel like i was wasting his time and that he he was doing me a service selling me his products. I would never ever use him again.
