Get the original re-chromed you know it will fit, it may cost a bit extra but definitely worth it. You know it makes sense
Best of luck making the correct decision.

If you can get yours rechromed for £26 it's a no brainer.

I see from their website they sell a lot of Lambretta parts. Do they rechrome your original part or exchange with like for like. Never used a plater before, but remember a company in the scooter scene years ago would do this, petrol tanks, forks, etc. They want £26 Inc vat and postage so seems not too bad price. Scootopia want £15 for remade chrome ring, just not sure if it is going to be an exact fit and size to my original. Had issues with some of their parts, quality varies. Others saying had issues with £45 casa ones flaking. So rechrome looks best bet I think. Bit of a pig to remove if not right.
Pretty sure they'll do your original part, as I've had to wait on them. I don't think you'll have any complaints. I did have one of Scootopia's S3 chrome rings fitted, and as far as I'm aware it wasn't a problem. What I would say is that the chrome isn't up to the standard you'd achieve with a professional chromer like Quality Chrome. Their stuff has a nice deep finish to it. We'll have to see how it stands up.
