I welded on a boss at the bottom with a 8mm fuel barb, ran 8mm fuelhose thru an inline fuel tap, the thing you obviously have to watch is that as the level drops, obviously theres potentially a problem with flow to the carb depending on height

I ran a bike fuel pump, zxr from memory, with a fuel pressure regulator set at 1.5psi as well.

28mm phbh dellorto with 300 valve, never had any issues

The petrol pipe has to cover a much longer distance and so the flow rate is drastically reduced if the carburettor is drawing maximum fuel. This in turn can lead to seizure or holing the piston. Yes you could run a fuel pump but it starts to get a bit to complicated.

I'm now on the idea of using the spare wheel bracket and making a tan around this which will still allow good fixing points.
The scoot its going on will be a race tune ts1 240 so i,m planning running a mikuni vacuum fuel pump(from gilera runner) so the fuel starvation shouldn't be an issue......
