Thanks for the advice, set the timing today at 21 degrees. I was worried a bit about unleaded but I think you're right. As it happens I couldn't get past 21 degrees anyway the stator wouldn't move any further and I didn't want to start enlarging the slots.
Actually runs well, and sounds sweet. I managed to refurb the original exhaust. Checked out lighting circuits and alls well. So on with the rest of the build now. Happy days
