thats good then, problem solved, you might be able to adjust the pre-load a little bit to get the softness you want without a reduction in length too much, update the thread when you have it fitted and dialed in,

Adjusting Protech Shock Length?

BUGGER! That 10mm that I had thought I could adjust has caught me out as the swing now means that the front of my exhaust contacts the underside of the frame/bodywork. Thankfully, Protech have said that they will rework the shock length for me.... great service!

A little update...
I sent my rear shock back to be modified (shortened) and it was done as requested, with no fuss and for a very reasonable charge. Excellent service and the bike now rides very well with the revised shock fitted.

i cant recommend pro tech highly enough.
ive had one of there shocks on my chop for 12 months and the handling is spot on after adjusting it to my weight.
standard shock is now a great door stop.
