You have to be realistic at wat ur trying to achieve. 80 + mph on a std bodied lambretta is achievable but not for long, but if your wanting to do a lot of miles then its not the way to go, there are many variables as well, such as rider weight, baggage, wind type of road & its surface etc etc. Ive done over 25000 miles on my cyclone number 27, its always been in my rb 260 engine, been to many rallies won the bsm in 2014, euros long distances etc etc, nothing wrong whatsoever with them IMO. I also have one in my Misano engine. I run 4.6 gearing using the short 5th gear I always have used the shorter 5th gear, no problems for my engine going to Germany, motorway all the way back 275 miles of it on the sunday coming home, gearbox worked fine. i touched 74 mph a few times but stayed around 65 mph most of the way home. Like I said u have to look at wat u want from ur engine.
