Thanks for your replys Guys. After considerable thought and 70 miles on the scoot today, I have come to the conclusion that I'm going to leave it standard. The scoot didn't miss a beat and kept up nicely with bigger engined machines tootling through the country lanes.
I had a TV175 S3 last year, it was standard apart from a KBA Clubman and it went okay, sold it.
This year I was fortunate to get another TV175 S3, totally standard with the original paint work. The only upgrade was an electronic ignition, standard 20mm carb and exhaust. Running it locally, we've got no big hills, hit 64 mph GPS at one point going slightly down hill with the wind behind me, ran it full throttle for 11 miles and it hummed along. Innocenti got that engine so right, it's a dream to ride and everything seems so well designed, working together in perfect harmony. My mate had a ride on it and it reminded him of a Vespa!
Most of my other scoots are standard and that's the way forward for me.
