mine lasted 14k of mainly motorway/a roads. the head leaked so holed a piston. lesson learned re torque the head now and then.

after that milage only the flywheel bearing was baggy. all seals were fine and the mid 90s af crank is going into another engine as its still tip top condition.

i did nothing at all to it in those miles so maint free too

certainly right about hindsight - it is easy to fall into "if it isnt broken why fix it" we`ve all done it just sometimes it `s more costly than others - put it down to experience! As my mate says when a major money pull out happens .... you`ll have forgot about by christmas.......not sure which one though!
