Did you try everything essexgp suggested?

In order of cost/easy checks.....
Taking the green out of the cdi eliminates anything to do with the wiring and dodgy earths etc. Then try plug, then supressor cap, then HT lead, then CDI, finally stator.

If you put your location in your profile then maybe someone local could have a look at it or even lend you a cdi unit

I live in Burtonwood, near Warrington and St. Helens, Cheshire.

Recieved a new cdi unit, fitted it , but no joy, guess it must be the stator.

I feel a bit confused,you say that you received a new CDI unit,but that didn't work,you then went on to say it was the HT coil,but the HT coil is incorporated in the CDI unit.

Probably meant LT?

Pick up / HT coil in stator.
