Did you try everything essexgp suggested?
In order of cost/easy checks.....
Taking the green out of the cdi eliminates anything to do with the wiring and dodgy earths etc. Then try plug, then supressor cap, then HT lead, then CDI, finally stator.

Recieved a new cdi unit, fitted it , but no joy, guess it must be the stator.

Thanks for all your help guys, in the end it was a faulty HT coil. Thanks again for all your replies, comments and suggestions, would have been lost without you, Thanks, Mick.

I feel a bit confused,you say that you received a new CDI unit,but that didn't work,you then went on to say it was the HT coil,but the HT coil is incorporated in the CDI unit.
