Agreed Tim, I bought a Pinasco Flytech ignition for my Vespa for under £200 including p+p and the same is over £300 plus p+p from a VE dealer. No brainer.

I try to buy british.
However.... A lot of the parts you want are sold out. Not always but on cettain items a lot of the time.
Buy british..... A lot of the parts we buy are indian or italien. Sent to this country.
Not many parts made in this country.
I love farmers (my depot is on a farm)...... Buy british beef/pork/chickens etc........ Say the farmers ad they drive around in mercedes, vw golfs audis and indian owned landrovers.
Ploughing the fields with dutch and american tractors. Combining the wheat with dutch combine harvestors.
Chicken sheds full of big dutchman farm machinery.
Wind turbines in the fields made in holland.
Yeah we should buy British.... Support our farmers.

I would always attempt to spend my money with a british dealer and where there's a big discrepancy afford the dealer the opportunity to get closer to the price... but that's just me.
