Front sprocket is ok, I torque'd it up and Loctite 'd the bolt into the crank. must confess it always worries me on an engine build so I do tend to take care on this aspect. I think the next step will be to cut the ramp out the gearbox endplate and drill out the chaincase to put an LI type ramp in and try that (as mentioned in post above).
Does anyone know if the slot in the kickstart shaft is too long and the piston pops out too far, whether that's a problem......bearing in mind the ramp controls the piston movement ? Reason I ask, is that I might have 'over slotted' with the Dremel as previously the piston did not pop out enough.
