Tubeless rim fitting in Sussex
Must admit not looking forward to cutting mount, been thinking of ways to do it so it keeps it nice and straight, I'm not the best doing it free hand. Regarding the shock I was thinking of drilling a second hole 10mm over to the right and using some thick washers for extra strength, had a look and 10mm is going to be right tight against the frame. Any Pixs would be great to see, cheers for the advice
Do you have a picture of the off set shock mount, would be well handy. Took the tubeless rim to Horley but broke the tyre wall trying to get the 130/70/10 tyre on the 3.00 sip rim, no worries with the 2.50 rim. Got a new tyre coming and will try again, don't think the recess in the wider rim allows you to get the tyre on like the smaller rims, maybe why sip don't make the wide rim anymore???

Haven't got any pics, but I weld two of the extension pieces side by side, that go between the rubber shock mount and the damper.
Cut thread off the one not going into mount. This will off-set top shock mount.

Brilliant idea, so simple when you think about it, will do the same. Thanks Oz
Done, bad boy back tyre on, bit of a mission getting it over the rim. He heated the tyre and there was four of us on it but it went on eventually. Not something I'd like to do on a regular basis. Think I now realise why SIP don't make the 3.00 widë rim, the recess you have to fit the tyre into is way too narrow, on the 2.00 & 2.50 rim it's a lot bigger and fitting is quite easy...but they don't tell you that? However does look the nutz
