The ugliness is their best feature but for anything more than a short pop into town and back they're not exactly practical. You'd get similar performance from a 50cc four stroke and that would do about 100 miles to the gallon and cost about a quarter of the price.

I like it. Looks different. Shame about the power plant. A decent 4T 125 would be better.

That video is awesome. I watched the whole lap. Loved the sound when accelerating. Very impressive.

Most scooter riders use them for commuting. If your commute is less than 40 or 50km, you can get there and back on one charge. Charge it at work for free.. and you're not giving the petrol company $50 a week.

At this price, it's a few years til you'd make your money back. But even so, the power delivery of an electric bike, and the silence, would have to score a few points for it.

Check this out. He's not hanging about.
Price is eye watering but yes makes economic sense long term with the charge at work option as long as they don't end up requiring loads of servicing.

I thought the black one didn't look too bad.

That bike is amazing as are the madmen that ride in the TT.

Lots of towns now have free parking/charging bays. Kings Lynn for example, so not just ivory tower Metroland.
For people who have a viable commute distance and would otherwise pay a fortune for parking, they will start to make sense, and every bike is a car off the roads or another seat on the train.
My nephew pays £4000+ for his rail season ticket, and still has to use his car to get to the station (where he also pays parking).
So not such a stupid idea maybe.

Maybe this helps to make it slightly more attractive.
