WHEEL RIMS
i was dubious about F A italia rims as had problems in the past, but needed some quik so got what was available (scootopia wasn't) the first problem is that they do not close together well, the reason is the holes are punched through leaving metal standing proud and swarf. this was filed off as well as some weld around the studs which affected fit. the end result is a good flush fit but then needed the paint touching up so not a good idea to get chrome ones. the other point is the studs and i have had the stripping problem and can be put down to the paint /powder coat on the threads, they will almost certainly need a die running down them, i was amazed how much muck the thead contained. so after my reservations and the fettling was impressed with the handling proving the were rounder and truer than what was on before. these problems are not exclusive to F A rims and on insection recently was not impressed with the scootopia mating fit although this would be rectified by the same remedial work.

Is anyone out there running the scooter center stainless ,,,,,,,surely at over 100 quid each they should be round/true and ready to go without fileing, not to mention good thread/studs.
I was up for the scootopia ones but might just wait on the BGM...............
