Can a damaged crank be repaired or buy new?

ALSO......I had the same issue, turned out to be the 'brand new' allen key headed screws holding down the oil seal plate were too wide and not countersinking properly. I put the original ones back in and all good (old parts being better than new, real progress lol )......
The 2 crank flywheels are only held together by a pressed pin. These cranks are trued (after being pressed) by using a set of v blocks, dial gauges and copper mallet! So in short, do not hit with a hammer or hammer and punch as it will knock it out of true.....slightly or severely!
Use the crank sprocket bolt and say an old drive sleeve that slides on and off the crank easily with some washers to space it etc to pull the crank through the drive bearing or i think various shops stock spacers to pull the crank through the drive bearing.
