Too late now Adam, but I had this a few weeks ago with an LX125 that wouldn't start after swapping a coil, after a head scratching search it was the fuse under the horncast.
Sorry for forgetting about this thread

Shaun.

^... no worries. It is good that it is on here now though as it is something that might benefit others.

Also, good to know that I'm no the only person on here working on these machines ;)

The main fuse is by the battery as per a PX, then the buggers hide another one away and don't mention it anywhere.
After checking main fuse and it being ok, and not knowing about another one, thats where it got confusing.
Can't all be electrical whizzes like yourself.

The main problem with newer Vespas including the GTS is that most owners don't fix their own scooters and tend to book them into a dealers for any repair work so there's less information out there. Consequently it's hard to get any meaningful information on the forums. I even struggled to get a straight answer to the correct weight of GTS 250 rollers when I asked a year ago. Glad you got your Dad sorted 8-)

You could try ;) internets made most people lazy when it comes to fixing there bikes, they need others to tell them the basics

Wiring on a scooter is easily traced,a simple check over would of sorted this but it's sorted now,,thanks to a girl and her lx125

Internet has made people lazy, but the inclusion of a manual and fuse layout in the handbook/dealers pack would also help a lot.
Oh, and it was a bloke.
Trouble is in my job I have a lot of different shite to deal with, and I rarely see another same fault again (apart from the car side).
Today I had an Intruder with a supposed flat battery, that turned out to have a burnt loom all up the ignition side, I have never even seen an Intruder before let alone trace a short that has melted most of the connectors/multi plugs.
Any tips??
