Agreed, I saw a video recently showing how to set up a Casa ignition and it's the same principle.
Best bit is it takes only 8 mins to fit the whole kit.

I have fitted 3 BGM stators to 3 different motors and had to send them all back as the centre stepped boss on the rear is machined incorrectly causing misalignment to the mag housing.one engine actually twisted the crank due to the flywheel touching the stator coils .I think they've modified the new v4 version now if I'm correct

So being new to this scootering malarkey and having done around 600 miles from rebuilding my s3 in the winter I'm now starting to worry about all the bad components out there some of which I have unwittingly fitted, like the schwabley tyres I fitted that have issues, the dodgy Indian components (that have now all thankfully been taken back off and replaced). Now it's the turn of the BGM stator that I got as part of an electronic kit from Beedspeed. So all the problems have been sorted out with the introduction of v4, guess what? Mines a v3.0 and dated 11.09.2015...should I be worried??

No, it might never happen. Just ride it and cross that bridge as and when.

Wasn't there an issue with the BGM flywheel causing problems with some auto retard units ?
can't fault the bgm stators, never had a problem and no issues fitting with the AF mid-weight flywheel.

Well I'm off to Hunstanton on it tomorrow (200 mile round trip) now I'm finally happy with the way it rides, jetting, plug colour etc so let's hope all is well. Must admit I did wonder what the three shims were for included with the stator back when I fitted it but as there were no instructions included of any kind I left them in the box and never paid them any more mind until today when I read up on the internet what they were for.
