This year I changed out a 30mm solid mount for a 28 rubber mount as well as fitting the TSR EVO. It has taken a while to get things running cleanly, much swearing at leaky exhaust manifolds and the epiphany of discovering a really weird atomizer in a refurb carb.
The setup I've ended up with is comparible with others with a similar setup quoted here, it pulls cleanly through all the gears, the TSR has more midrange than the NK I had previously but it still revs out in top at just over 70MPH.
I'm sure it would be better after a dyno session but I'd say it wasnt far off

70+ MPH on a SIL200 - that's pretty good going.

I say 70+ its all done at just over 72MPH on a sat nav.
I bit more top end would be nice but it's not a priority, it's on standard GP gearing, I have tried longer gearing but it want as ride able.
I like the look of the MB tuned cast iron cylinders, if I can stretch that far I may get a new one but if not and I can't find anything worth fitting second hand I might have a go at tidying up the existing cylinder and fitting a better piston.
Thanks for all the advice, it's one amongst s few things I need to sort out when I strip it down over Xmas, brakes being top of the list.

If it goes that well I'd leave it alone.

I'd second a.j. on that
To get another 10mph you'll end up spending at least £150 on a second hand kit, is it really worth it?

Give readspeed a ring. They'll bore your barrel out to 225 and give it a bit of a tune. Very reasonable price too.

Or give Mick Abbey a call (Harrogate) who's tuned a few of our TS1, Rapido and Monza barrels, including a stage 4 200 SIL Indian. And our mate is well impressed with his new SIL200 performance. All he needs is your barrel, stroke and piston and costs around £150.00, plus tell him what you are after in respect of riding. He's cut his teeth on tuning 2 stroke motorbikes and has done a fair few Vespa and Lambretta tunes, including a current kitted Vega pushing out 15BHP plus. When I say kitted, I think that the barrel was from a Lambretta starstream, or something like that.
Have a look at his web site.

Deff keep the barrel you have at the mo. You will get it running on taller gearing and cheaper than buying a new kit. Why did you want to get another piston? Quite a few of us running SIL kits in our club.

The MB SIL 200 conversion to 210 or even 215 is one of the best set ups I've had. Also get the head from them which will be profiled correctly for the MB piston. The MB Pistons were based on the ever popular Honda 205 Pistons.Over 70 by GPS, 25 or 28 Dellorto and a Clubman. I also used the SIL crank with a Yam 110 rod, another cheap upgrade.
I've always had more luck with iron barrels than anything else.
