And also remember that the clutch corks should be soaked in fresh gearbox oil for 24 hours before fitting.

It's an LTH clutch so it's a straight fit mate.

I checked the shimming yesterday and somehow it was way out. I managed to fit another shim 2 sizes up. I don't suppose that will help noise wise. I don't know how I missed that but I did. I've got it all back together and oiled up and I'll give it another go later. I'll report back a bit later.

Gearbox re shimmed and filled with oil and the noise has gone. Thanks for all your comments Pete.
