As mentioned, covert the side casing to take a ramp. I do the same, and with various Kickstarts being made with different spline positions, I sometimes have to cut and re weld the ramp a bit lower than standard, so I can get it to engage almost immediately.

With GP end plates I never try to start it on the stand, always tilt it to the left and kick from astride.

Generally I cut off the loop and mount the ramp on the casing though.
