I have now managed to get to a 148 main and the plug is a nice choclatey colour (up a slight gradient so under load) 148 does seem a little large? but the plug does look good?

Mid 1/4 to 3/4 looks a good colour too, even on a slight gradient under load :)

sounds in the right ball park to me, one thing you didn't mention is what float jet you have in it.
what ever float jet you have in you can plug chop to find out if its big enough by doing a longer distance wide open throttle run, if its too small you will get a lighter colour on the plug than you get on a short wide open run.

Doing plug chops and riding it is a much better way to jet in than putting it on a non braked dyno IMO!

Cheers Eden, weather permitting I'll try and check out the float jet tomorrow. Been out for another ride tonight and she's running nice :D
