Always the odd one out, I have had a few bits from him eg an 11 lt fuel tank that was advertised as pressure tested, yes shiney bling and of the yingtong variety, but it fitted was clean inside and did what it should have. It was half the price of others selling what was exactly the same product. I always say reputable dealers are all selling the same stuff, it's all made in the same place no one product is made by a hundred different manufactures, u pays your money you takes your choice. And even at twice the price you end up fettling it to get it to fit.

Hopefully this won't become a willenhall scooters type thread.....amusing as it was.
I have bought a a few bits off lambretta Leeds/ joei/scootrshop whatever you want to call him.
I go to the shop at kippax. I buy off him direct.
He sells far East or Indian scooter/motorbike parts.
Same or similar to other dealers.
When I first went I was supposed to find Joe was taller than me and I'm 6 foot 2.I was expecting to feel intimidated.
He was really helpful. Has two scooters. Advised what was OK and not so good on parts.
I bought a cdi on one visit. Tried to fit it and the ht lead broke the screw. I took it back. He looked a bit annoyed but swapped it straight away. And said that's one for the returns pile.
It probably costs me more in petrol than postage would but I enjoy looking and selecting parts.and talking scooters.

As with willenhall and scoot r shop I would never buy engine parts. I learnt that 10 years ago. Ordered lambretta bearings off eBay. Opened the pack. Took one look at bearings falling out of the races and threw them straight in the bin.
Plus I do not know what is or isn't within spec for a lambretta engine. I buy off rayspeed for the engine or get them to build it.

The prices are good from lambretta Leeds. Some parts are not brilliant but if I can grind, file bodge or bang them I don't mind. It gives me something to do.

As long as you don't want high end spec parts they are good. I would reuse them.

found out since I posted that even though he had stated he was making the items that they are actually an item being made in india. He has now changed his listing description by removing the "made by us" comment.

so it seems hes not as much of a tw@7 as I feared. the Indians are the c*nt5 making cheap copies not him!

I was on his FB page tbh ive found him and his partner (karen?) Helpfull when I was building a 5 plate clutch on the cheap he was helpfull and even adviced me not to get the so called 5 plate spiders that others were selling as they are to
tall I bought the 5 plate pressure plate and side casing bush which has a lubrication hole in it and a slot , I always weld both spiders so the fact it was a spot welded one made no difference, also a yamaha type clutch lever and tzr grips stainless trunions and a few other bits and pieces , they offered a good discount and combined postage , everything I had has been spot on but i im not nieve enough to know some indian stuff is tosh
