He would get a very weak feed out of those 2 yellows as they are at the moment as they are only connected to one coil

I think the coils may be double wound. If you look at the GP Electronic diagram in sticky's book the schematic for the stator is different it shows the two wires connected to two pairs of coils and the brown connected to two coils connected in series. This is a similar schematic to some of the other DC stators.

I gave a DC GP points stator in the shed I'll have a look at in the daylight.

sorry lads i put it back in the bike(local rally on this w/end) so havent got anymore pics at present I am currently using this in my GP200e(with ducati original flywheel) as the original one i had was beyond repair lets just say .. i put it through a wassel last night connecting the two yellows and leaving the red( brown, blue.yellow on other stators) wont know if its doing anything yet as i put a charge in the battery(12 4ah alarm ) and waiting to see if it holds ,i was assuming that the red on the fisrt coil was an AC for powering none DC items ...i also connected it to an original 3 pin red type CDI and had to swop the green for the white to get it to fire but i was unable to switch it off so answers and suggestions for that would be also greatful .....
