Which is the best performing, standard looking exhaust? The Ancillotti worked very well but clearly has quality issues!

If you put a thick braze on it instead of welding , it won`t crack anymore, the brazing ( brass ) absorbs the vibration and will not crack as it is flexible.........

Thanks for the tips guys. I've taken the plunge and ordered a JL3 snail from readspeed as they seem to be one of the only people in the country with them in stock.

I agree with your advice here, but it really is such cr@p metal that you'd be wasting your time. The metal on the body of the zorst is much stronger, yet half the thickness. Crazy, on an exhaust that costs how much?

After last years hellraiser run to France i found my ancillotti had cracked in the same place but not as bad, cezeta had it welded and also fabricated a bracket for the bottom mount (underneath the crankcase) and it's been fine since.

I usually grind these off and reposition, once fitted they become a perfect fit then they dont crack and fall off.... When will someone make a standard exhaust that dosnt fall apart, needs no adjustments and fits first time...

I remember the original 200 Indian exhausts 1979-80, that fitted perfectly and lasted years, my first cost £4 for the U-bend and £8 for the exhaust, I bought it from Len Turners....That was real value for money...

Come to think of it .... its still on a scooter today "Dave Knights 200" its on SORN now.... but the exhaust is still in one piece... its been modified a bit... but all the original brackets are still on it...

Not on the one I have just repaired, but then the guy's scooter didn't have the lug for to fix to anyway, which is perhaps why they aren't fitted to all re-made ancilottis.

can the end can be turned, I wouldnt fancy all the oil coming out of the exhaust ending up on my back tyre , it looks like it would with the tail pipe in that position
