Still got the winter tires on I see
If you saw the state of the roads in NYC you would have even bigger
Knobbly tires on all year round.....some of them are deeper than the
wheels

I 've lost count of the punctures and bent front
dampers bust exhaust I've had over the years . Every days a challenge.
I've ridden all over India on a Lambretta and NYC roads are very similar
in condition and other road users habits and or lack of consideration
for us wee two wheelers.......

Ha Ha yes...well the idea was to have the spare sit vertical behind the leg shield
however it sits a tad low for my big clown feet to hit the rear break...alright with
trainers on ....just enough clearance but then if I've got me boots on then its a tad tight,
so.....executive decision was made to mount it horizontal ....hence the extra holes
And should my feet shrink one size I can always remount vertical in a jiffy as the holes
are already there

I've made a toolbox that fits behind the legshields and has the spare wheel around it. Space wise it's not too bad, allowing some tools and a bit of oil. It's got a better lock on than the standard door and is useful for storing expensive bits and bobs. The scoots currently getting sprayed but i'll post pictures when back.

Wasn't the first prototype quite heavy?

Yes the prototype was made out of steel tube (2/3mm thick). That's the one in the photo. We've since made some more using rolled sheet which is about half the weight. I'll drop one off one time, see what you think.
