I've had a black plate on my 76 Rally since I acquired it 14 years ago, never been pulled once over it . I reckon plod have the same issues as joe publique, all scooters are old & the rider MUST be a mod ...... so no need to waste time on paperwork .
2Ronnies sc.......Chuckleism is the way forward
Plod in Weston Super Mare must love the paperwork as I know of 4 locals that have been fined, and 1 that was subjected to 20 mins on the side of the road whilst plod did there checks to find out his GP really was a 1971.
MOT states that black and silver/black and white are ok if vehicle was manufactured before Jan 1st 1973.
With the VW's they get a birth certificate from the factory to produce for the MOT and also carry them around incase plod stop them.
