I know the TV and the dealer is legit - its the Bristol ad that is problematic.

That was my impression, looking into it. Hence text to Essex number. Still un-able to contact Bristol seller. Makes you wonder why to place a dodgy ad then not take calls on it? Unless Lambro's just busted scam and he visits here too?? If Scam busted, GOOD. S

What's problematic about it?

I may try to get through again, but surely in our community someone must go "that's my/ my mates scoot, he lives in scotland and it's not for sale"??

Another possibility is that its a legitimate free ads site that takes ads from multiple sellers and collates them by location. A giveaway might be the fact that the phone numbers on each ad are different, indicating different sellers, that would lead me to believe that its not the work of a serial scammer taking a van load of scooters on a photo tour of Bristol and convincing random grannies to sit on them.

Diesel, even if the same seller, the phone numbers are different because you call the website numbers (at high cost), then get transferred to the seller, so they issue a different number for each ad, hence different numbers. So still 'could' be a single scam.
Incidentally, the mobile number of the Essex ad is of the same system, and I haven't been able to contact the Essex seller. So even that could be the same scam, if it was previously on Ebay. Anyone got a link to the original Ebay listing?

The descriptions in the 'usedmotors4sale' and 'bike4sale' ads contain the Southend area land line number for the shop but it is not in the 'TRADE-IT' Bristol and South West ad.

I have spoken to the Southend dealer who originally advertised the TV1 on e-bay and he told me that it has in fact already been sold.

Ditto, Argentopercarter. I have sent emails (phone goes to recorded message) to the sites warning that there is potential scam happening with the others, but the TV1 is a definate scam but didn't come up just now (1 minute ago, may be me driving pc though). based on the price, the S2/ sidecar is a definate too. Website would need to tie in all the scoots with different transfer tel. no.s to the same scammer/ seller. S
