The world was obviously a much more honest place in the 60's. Thanks again for all the responses.

no problem. As an act of good faith, and thinking you may not be "au fait" with a lot of Lambretta knowledge/ understanding of how some people "work", please don't be afraid to ask ANY questions on here.
Rather you asked than risked your "hard earned".

Your going back a while I'm guessing Chris. I'm trying to remember exactly where it was. I remember it as a place to get a late drink before the licencing laws chnged. But that was a long time ago. Cov city centre has chnged quite a bit in recent years. Still crap though

ex sister in law went to Lanchester Polytechnic in Coventry in 1971 ish.- the curry house was somewhere in the shopping centre (probably now demolished?). She had digs just off the ring road. Always remember Coventry as being bloody cold

Cov is completely different as far as the city centre goes. Its been a while since I heard Cov uni referred to as the Lanch. Mind you that is over 40 years ago. I've lived here all my life so seen it change a fair bit in that time. Not sure about it always being cold though. I thought everywhere was cold and grey in the 70's
