i look at the wheels being in line not the frame also dont forget some indian forks are over to one side (the wheel doesnt sit dead centre .

I had the same with a spaq /sterling one. when banking into a corner it would feel as if the scoot was being pulled upright or down depending if a left or right hander. cured it (mostly) with a extra half nut and changing the S1 tyres for the wider weathermans.
I did post a thread a while ago about what distance between the links poeple had? (were the hub fits) but what we need is someone with access to a very low mileage italian or spanish lammy to measure the distance, perhaps with the link pushed together and pulled apart to give an average measurement. Anyone?
This would the allow us to measure and adjust accordingly.
But it does beg the question (again) why i it so difficult to manufacture parts correctly in the first place?

are you saying there is not enough thread on the LH to fit a spacer and then the nut sufficiently onto the axle ? then, as said, I'd be checking the positioning of the fork links.

put a bit of loctite on the cones then hold them where you want them to be overnight with some tubing/washers/old engine mounts

Yeah thats right im thinking that it may be the links, im thinking the best thing to do is get hold of another pair and links and see how they look and if it sorts the issue. I guess it will be trial and error....

Will try tapping the cones as well as that should sort that issue and hopefulll sort out the back wheel issues.

I'm guessing on this 1 'cos for some reason I can't see your pictures with my system but over the years I've had the front wheel problem a couple of times (canted to one side). one was that they were different links either side (GP/Li) I think. The other was that one of the front springs in the forks had bent!

I've run a couple of ScootRS front set ups for a few years now. Both are central. However, I did have a problem with one set up that appeared central but lent over under braking causing the tyre to wear unevenly on one side.

Turned out the links, whilst appearing level, were out of plane.

If I was you, presuming you've got a drum link set up, I'd get hold of a good pair of Italian links and get proper damper mounts welded on (MB do this for about £25). Those Indian brackets will snap on you as they're made of tin foil. Don't weld Indian links as the links may warp when welded (this turned out to be my problem).
