Ok so I have tried the engine with my Fran race, Fran road and a TSR Evo pipe fitted. the race pipe worked but to pull cleanly in 4th you had to be going 35mph+, it would run happily at 25-30mph round town but didn't want to accelerate from there and found i was changing down to get the best progress with it.
swapped over to a Fran raod pipe and wow what a difference, it pulled lovely and would pull cleanly from 19mph and keep climbing.
The TSR Evo for a cheapish exhaust I must say I am impressed, it seems to pull better through the gears than the road pipe and hangs on to the revs well, it will pull cleanly from just over 20mph.
Now the dilema, do I go with the cheap option or do I buy a Fran road or even take the chance with a Supertourer? Part of me says buy the cheaper one and have some cash for other bits or go with a known brand that performs well!!
Hence the wanted add, didn't want to order one today only for someone to sell one on here tomorrow!!
Which exhaust????

Thanks for the review Andy, I've just gone down the reed valve route with my Rapido 225 (similar port timings to you) and just pressed the button on the TSR Evo.
Hope it performs as well for me!

Well I managed to pick up. Franspeed supertourer off here with the big boy end can. Took it for a run tonight, it's got a different sound, very deep. Seems to pull really well. Will try with the decibel insert removed and see what that's like at weekend. Need to get some miles on the engine then it will be set up properly on the dyno, just roughly jetted and slightly Ritch for now.
