I would recommend the conversion of the clutch lever at the handlebar to RD350. MBD sell these (though i converted my own), and they have a better reach (dogleg), a longer lever and a better pull (the distance from the pivot to cable-end is slightly longer.
Consider this alongside your clutch choice, though the ease of pulling in a clutch is always dictated by the strength of the springs.
I agree.. I just got one of these and it's fantastic.. I use with the the AF 6 plate and it's a very easy pull and the clutch disengages much sooner with the MB dogleg lever.. I'd use this lever with any clutch and call it an improvement.

Ordering the 5 plate clutch from Readspeed today.
I already have a machined 47 tooth crownwheel, will the atomic spider work with this setup as I have one gathering dust, and it does look stronger than the standard spider.
If its proven to work with this setup I may as well use as it does look nice and strong.
I will be using MB springs with this setup and the Yam lever.

Well it would def save you the faf around making sure that bottom plate doesn't clear the spider under full compression that I just went through, I feel like its a bit of a bodge though and was thinking about that atomic fox hat as a cheap remedy.

To be honest I have both the atomic spider, and pressure plate.
Just wondered if anyone had fitted either or both of these to a AF machined crownwheel, and if so did it work?
The reason for asking about the pressure plate at the start of the thread, was that it looks to be quite a well made bit of kit, but because its about 2mm taller than standard I was unsure if it would cause problems.

I don't know about the AF crown wheel but I tried an atomic spider with an MB crown wheel and the spider didn't protrude thru the crown wheel so it would have bound up. It's fine with the atomic crown wheel though.
