Isn't it the size of the master cylinder piston that needs to be smaller? The ScootRS Nissin master cylinders are marked 1/2. I'm guessing this is for 1/2 inch. The Gilera Runner ones I have found on line are marked 12.7. If that's millimetres it makes the piston the same size as the ScootRS one. I've got 3 scooters fitted with the ScootRS outboard discs and two were great from the off and the third problematic - snatching and juddering until I changed the disc. It didn't appear to be warped on the front face but it was measuring between 4.5 and 5mm in thickness.

As it worked spot on previously, I know it's not the size of the master cylinder but a failure somewhere. I'll strip the calliper as well before I put it all back together. fair point on the dot4, mine has probably been on the shelf, saying that it was used new previously with the same results. May be worth investing in an eazybleed or similar.

I had lots of trouble bleeding mine.
In the end up I got a large syringe from the chemist fitted a rubber hose to it and reversed bleed it from the bleed nipple. You will need to bleed it the normal way first to fill the lines, or you will be filling your syringe all the time

I've found that since the change to genuine Nissin components my wife's one became hideously snatchy. I used to manually remove pad area too, which worked but someone told me to try different, less aggressive pads and it worked a treat. You don't need the power of sintered with such a big disc and a small wheel, but organic pads work a treat.

No offence meant though, a technical question answered.Just taken out of context to easily amused people like me I found it funny
