Thanks for the info everyone, I don't want to waste a gearbox on injuring people I don't like, might stick it in something with different sprockets, see how it goes.

Personally I like the 125 box you dont have to rev the nuts of it to get moving (why its used on combination scooters) once moving you change up and then depending on sprockets pull what ever you want. My Casa kit ran very tall with a series 3 early Italian 125 box and a 19 46 combo. The Casa kit had the grunt to pull it but it did not rev much past 6500 rpm so a lot is down to the kit. Have a look at the Tony Cassidy gear box visualizer. You can mess around with crown wheel, sprockets and chains to get virtually any combination you want.

i run a mugello with early 125 box gp 200 front and rear sprockets
have to get out of first a bit sharpish but after that runs well
tddles along at 60 + with very little throttle

186 not sure of version no but it is the first one with the bolt down head
28 mm dellorto and ting tong fresco copy
may drop the front sprocket 1 tooth next year
