Scooterotica Lambretta
I never liked the previous version either. I'm sure it was well painted and had some neat bodywork mods but IMO it looked dated, tacky & vulgar.coaster wrote: I saw the incarnation at Mersea a few years ago and didn't like it tbh, well painted but I was glad I didn't have any small children with me
This version on the other hand looks really tidy and I'm looking forward to seeing the finished article.
I reminds me a little of a modified / cutdown large frame Vespa that I think was in Rothmans colours - It featured in Scootering a fair few years back ....... maybe Ricspeed will have a pic somewhere!

Hey Jarv
cheers but no not that one - although looking at that one, which I think was featured around a similar time, I think I may well have got my 'sponsors' mixed up. In fact it may have been a Martini paint job on the one I'm thinking of. I do remember that it had the horncat removed. Straying off topic somewhat here - so apologies folks.

it was a valiant effort Ric ,and i thank you for taking the trouble to do that ..but i just felt that although it looked really good that it just was not unique enough to achieve my take on the old martini theme ..as i wanted it to look totally different to any other previous martini design .
also it was lacking a great deal of detail on the front leggies /horn cover /mudi ..
which to me was the most tricky part ..as in coming up with a design that has not as far as i am aware been done before
