A stock Malossi with a 52mm stroke crank is given for 122/178° Those are moderate timing usually enough to get 14-15 HP (at the wheel) around 7000 rpm. For a higher output, timing should rise around 126/180-5° with a 1,5 base gasket or a longer stroke and a 0,5mm gasket (plus an exhaust port job)
