Tino doesn't make them, they are generic stators made by "idm", the same stator is fitted to casa, parmakit, vespatronic systems etc. I expect that, for idm to repair one, it would be more expensive than making a new one, so not worth their while.
However, have you had yours checked to see if the problem is within the coil itself, or external to it and therefore fixable?

Ditto here, my old varitronics sat on a shelf in the garage, both lighting coils showed heat damage and melting of the plastic housing the wires wound on. Got an indian setup and wassel conversion for the price of a new stator and never looked back.

Ahh, I see, re the point on makers etc. Thanks for clearing that up, I guess it's all to do with living in a " throw away" age.
This faulty stator was some time back now, and I did check it and when replaced it the misfire stopped. Cheers

Isn't there a wizard on here (can't remember his name, Byron maybe) who rewinds stators? Maybe he can help for the price of some beer tokens

Does this fit all Varitronic kits?

It lists lots of Vespa models but not Lambretta. They don't list a separate one for Lambretta.

I think in a varitronic you don't have an LT coil like in a Ducati sistem. All the stator coils are involved in lighting and ignition. The varitronic is the only ignition that made me feel happy two times: the first time when I bought it, and the second time when I sold it...now I run a BGM ignition with wassel and a Kheper CDI. Far better! Better lights, programable curve, and parts available to repair any problem.
