finally going for it

Post pics & videos of your scooter, projects you're working on, a lovely Vespa that you saw at a rally, or anything else scooter related.

Yeah, that's the trouble with getting caught up in the mate's rates thing, so don't undersell yourself and don't stick to scooters, there are other worlds out there that will see the quality of your work (VW, vans, trucks, Harleys etc.) use them.
I wish you well.

mates rates always cause complications should something happen. i never do them always tell them from the start keep it on a business level.
the worse thing after being self employed is going back to being an employee apparently. don't think i'd be happy working for someone else again.

thanks everyone for the support and the advice... very excited about starting up and not having to squeeze it in on a night time afterwork... yeah the costing is the hardest part but i'm not after making a million so i've come up with some very reasonable rates

I wish you all the best mate, I remember seeing your panels part finished in you garage and was blown away by the detail, now there finished there even better.
I have every confidence that you'll prosper from it and be much happier working for yourself.

Good luck with the new venture, you're obviously very talented and needs to be shared, your GP shows that and has been one of my favorite scooters over the past couple of years.

I have never liked themed scooters (with the exception of "naughty but nice" or "lil deuce scoot" cause they make me laugh). I've generally enjoyed scooters with some lettering like old days advertising. HOWEVER, your work is superb mate, I am an architect with artistic trade and mate, you definetely have gods gift to airbrush. Unique work you put on the metal of your scoot. I've never said a word about it since it is not my cuppa on scooters to airbrush the hell out of the little free board that they have available, but like Soulsurfer sais, don't just keep on scooters, there is another whole world out there for you waiting to give you work, so others can appreciate your gift.

All the best,

J.

Good luck Nooch, I set up on my own last year, best thing I ever did. Not scoots though I'm a sparky but never looked back, even with the recession and having our first baby  :D

Need some old style signwriting doing to some carbon panels when I get'em so I'll be in touch.
