Just remember when you gain power you tend to sacrifice reliability

Do you mean to run this option on the existing cylinder / piston / head?
yes. obviously any work you can do to the top end will help but the bolt on's will give a definite improvement. There may be issues with gearing but one step at a time eh !!

I think I am leaning towards a 'non TV' iron 175 barrel, piston and head and running that with Big Bore and a 22mm Jetex. Does anyone know if these need any work as sold or are they bolt on?
The dealer I spoke to said that the stage 4 ali kits they have would be a better alternative soley for heat dissipation. As it is only 80 quid more the price is not the issue but would it be overkill for the exhaust cylinder combination? If I got one of these would a 25mm Delly make it more reliable than the Jetex?
As I said before I am not after a high revving racebike but more relaxed cruiser with more torque, especially when 2 up.

Jetex's either work or they don't! If they don't them they can usually be resurrected with a transplant of genuine Delly jets and atomisers etc. I've used some that have worked perfectly and others that don't do anything- bit of a gamble I'm afraid!

Do any of the dealers sell them checked and tweaked?
What else would you consider using for this stage of tune?

Sounds like you are after the same as me,I wanted more power for my standard italian GP 150, so I sent my standard 150 barrel and head to Harry Barlow to be bored out to 175 and stage 4 tuned, Got a used clubman off a mate and used the standard 22 mm carb. Cheap as chips and goes really well for the price.

Thats the one ,but any number of tuners could do the same. You could try Darrel Taylor that posts on here or Scooterotica, I'm sure Dan and Sean could sort you out
