Is there some sort of spray on marker blue I could use that would show where the high spot is? Summat from Halfrauds or somewhere? And something that easy to remove after?

Pleased to say issue now resolved. Used an Ikon navy blue permanent marker to colour suspect areas and a high spot showed up at top outer lip of inner mag housing rim. Carefully filed back and refitted flywheel several times and no grinding noise and flywheel running true. TDC marked and timing marks for 18 and 17 BTDC marked. Dontcha just love Lammies
