Maybe should have put the suppliers by the tanks, might have helped
Top is from Buzzsolomoto and the bottom one is from Just Lambretta , the ScooterErotica ones look good as well.
I have plans for inside of the Legshield, at the moment I have a spare wheel there. The main point of the question was finding room for the sender , which I
think that Yanker supplied the answer.

I can only reiterate what my customers say, buy cheep; buy twice.
We make each of our tanks to order and can also upon request and provision of any sender unit fit one during the tanks construction this way avoiding any fitting issues, we can then pressure test the tank and make sure that it is right first time.
I have a pending order from Italy requiring a sender unit, so I will have some photo's when the order is confirmed and in production.
I would advise though that prior to any fitment that sender units are wired to the scooters electrical circuit and fully tested in a mock setup.
Looking at the tanks on the market right now we are not the cheapest but we are also not the most expensive either, as I have previously stated on other posts on facebook groups, it all boils down to the customers choice and budget.
I've had a Diablo tank in my GP for the past few years and have never looked back and since taking over the business from Alan Terry the customer feedback is second to none and demand even greater.

when you buy the 13ltr tank it is a tight fit ,you will find with a kitted scooter 50mph is good the bigger tank is better fit bigger carb cut out and if you ever decide to revert back to origion tank then the diablo one will fetch £200 not loosing a lot of dosh but the other well thats another story.
diablo tank in steel is very good value for money
oiltek tank in alloy is a super tank for not much more
dig deep and buy once it makes sence!

Oiltek ltd tank 16ltr but near £280 but no fuel sender in mine . But just seen they have started doing them

To be honest, we haven't given any thought to a Tank with a toolbox within it, it would reduce the fuel capacity too much in my opinion. Inside legshield toolboxes are better and carry more, again, my opinion
Here is one of our Tanks for Dave "Madness" on his latest Project. It is a one off at the moment, as we are only producing Tanks for Series 3's. Series 1 and 2 Tanks to come shortly.

Simon, our Tanks are £275 and the fuel sender and Gauge is still a bit early yet. I have fitted one to my Special and fitted it with DC supply to the Sender/Gauge and also the brake light and Horn. Have still to test with AC supply. Oh and the "non dipping headlight" when braking and a decent Horn is good

I have a SS one from stainless steel products and it's the dogs doodahs! easy to fit, uses extra long ss straps and has a nice big cut out. The finish is bang on, with hardly any weld showing. I think there the best looking SS tank out there. the ones that bolt on the frame can be a bugger to fit and have been known to fatigue I believe. it's all down to personal choice really and there does seem to be a lot of options out there.

I don't think it needs to be as big as the original, most folks who fit a LRT like these will have a legshield toolbox anyway, but it's nice to have the option for a few spanners or a battery.
