scooter towing question

When the engine runs all four gears constantly spin unlike a bike box where only a pair mesh at a time, but with the engine off no gears move. I towed the SS90 with the Muravey to IoW that way so I know it's right.

ah thanks for explaining that ;) thats a relief.
I thought it had to be allright because I have seen scooters towing scooters before
