Hi, am wondering if you guys can help me out. I am starting to rebuild my 1960 eibar s2.
I have stripped it and painted most of it. I tried to keep most parts together for the rebuild.
The fork tube bearing cups how do they go on.
I have a lower cup, a chrome ring a thin spacer and an upper cup.
I am thinking lower bearing cup at the bottom. Spacer at the top then chrome ring and then upper cup into the chrome ring. Is this correct? Or does the thin spacer go at the bottom between the bearing cup and tube. I cannot find a diagram anywhere.

Only been about 14 years now.
1 marriage fail.
1 company set up.
Another relationship fail.
Moved 4 times.
Depression, ocd, anxiety and god knows what else. Still battling on trying to rebuild this. Scooters seem to be the main obbsession in my life since 15.
When my anxiety or depresion takes hild i have to leave them alone and wait til im ready to start again.
I wanted a home build somewhere between a restoration and rat look.
It was too far gone to leave as it was.
Hard work with anxiety. I would build or do something, then worry if it was right/correct and re strip and rebuild again


But hey ho such is life.

Good work. I thought i was slow as I'm 3 years into an eibar s2 restoration. I feel positively efficient now though. Anyway, it matters not one jot. After they're finished you just need to start another.

I already have two projects lined up.
But will not start til this is done.
I have most of an ld. I want to auto it. Bought a gt 200 for the express purpose of doing it. As well as a piaggio skipper 4t.
But liked the gt so much i will just use it to run around on.
I also have a vespa et2 that i want to chop and play with. So will use the skipper engine and mallossi kit i bought in that. At some point

Fitted the disc brake.
Not sure if i have a problem or not.
Is this wrong. Looks as though it is to me.
The locating lug on the trailing links only sits a bit of the way into the slot on the disc brake.
Also does this look like the correct angle for the antidive?
Very tight setup. Started cracking paint off of the mudguard

Robbie, I think you've got those bottom damper brackets on back to front. They should point forward, not back. My guess is they are on the wrong legs.

Thank you for pointing that out to me.
I must confess i have struggled fitting them.
Its a learning curve for me.
My other scooter has the pins welded on the fork links so i had no point of refrence
I shall have another look and remove them. Try them the other way round.
Is it possible to over tighten the Engine block mounts.
It seems to give off lots of vibration, the front brake caliper rattles when running.
I have read through various posts and have seen it could be an possibility.
