RB20 fitting problem!!

Not 100% sure,i did all the bottom end build,and left my mate to assemble the top end himself.
More than likely him being over cautious (not a bad thing i suppose),and ringing me with the problems he was having.
As i couldnt get over to him,i posted the problems on here and passed on the replies until i could get over and see for myself.
There were a mixture of thin/fat studs,plus the bottom of the barrel was catching on some of the threads that were still visible at the base.
The piston does feel tight in the bore,but is within tolerance,as i managed to speak to AF who were very helpful and forthcoming with all the information i required.
As i said,i had no experience of the RB kit itself,so apart from basic fitting procedures,i wasn't too sure if i was missing something new!
