if there is 1/2" showing then a small pair of stilsons will shift it.
The more pressure you put on a pair of stilsons the harder they grip and they never slip.
10" or 12" should do.

Get some long nuts made up same length as spacer then you can keep the studs in chaincase, attach bracket with bolts on other end, saves using screws in and out of alloy

so what we saying another product not ready for market ie supplier should tell you possible problem? before you spend your hard earned cash.

No......that's not what 'we' are saying, read the post properly. Three case studs need to be removed and and replaced with 3 long Allen bolts which are supplied with the pipe for the rear/end can mounting bracket, in order to fit the pipe......it's a very common fitting method. The problem the poster has is HOW to remove his short studs, nothing to do with the product.

After looking at extractors on the net i had a "brainwave" and tried the 3/8 chuck on my drill. Alas another heroic failure but it might work for someone else. The idea was to tighten the chuck around the stud then turn the chuck anti-clockwise. It nearly did it but the chuck caught on the crankcase side. I've an old flexi-drive kicking about and might give that a go next.

I had to do the same to fit my rear bracket for my Fran race, as I didn't need the studs anymore ( got plenty of spare ones) with the nut done up tight use a drift/punch and hammer over the ends of the studs, then jus wind out the nuts and the studs come with them. Make sure you choose the right three studs!!

Peen the end over when the nuts on and it will extract the stud as you try to undo it.
Never failed me yet.
